Many of our guests prefer to stay at Budgong Lodge and enjoy the property, but there are plenty of activities and beautiful places to explore in Kangaroo Valley and the surrounding areas.

There is an information centre located at the southern end of the council car park on the eastern side of Moss Vale Road, where you can find a map of the local picnic areas, walking tracks and nearby dams.

Budgong Lodge is located just a 10-minute drive from the centre of Kangaroo Valley and a five-minute drive from the Kangaroo Valley Golf Course.

The village of Kangaroo Valley offers a choice of cafes, restaurants, antique and homewares shops and The Friendly Inn - the local. Don't forget to visit the KV Farmer's Market which is on every second Sunday of the month - the perfect place to pick up fresh and seasonal produce.

For the best coffee and pastries in town Hampden Deli is your go to - they also offer cooking classes, or practice your downward dog with a private yoga session with Valley Yoga.

Kangaroo Valley Kayaks is located at Kangaroo Valley Holiday Park, offering a Kayaking and Canoeing adventure of the Kangaroo River. Kayak under the historic Hampden Bridge, check out the native flora and fauna; and soak up the sun as you glide down the river.

The coast is only 45 minutes away - from Gerringong to Seven Mile beach, Shoalhaven Heads, Culburra to the exquisite Jervis Bay.

The infamous Fitzroy Falls are just a 25 minute drive up Barrengary Mountain, for a majestic waterfall experience.

While just past Fitzroy Falls are the Southern Highlands - well known for its colourful gardens, leisurely pursuits, diverse landscape, history and heritage, wineries and culinary delights.

There are nine wineries in the Shoalhaven Coast area, while the Southern Highlands also has some exquisite wineries and restaurants
